Consists of a photocopy of a typewritten manuscript titled "The Pearl of the Pecos," compiled by Lee C. Myers between 1965-1970. The work is composed of extracts taken from the "Eddy Argus" and other newspapers published in Eddy, New Mexico, (now Carlsbad), between October 12, 1889 and October 23, 1897. It is the story of the establishment of Eddy, New Mexico, and irrigation on the lower Pecos River of New Mexico. An introduction, index, and annotations are included.
